My Story
Nicole Powers, PMHMP-BC
Hi There. My name is Nicole. My work is rooted in my personal experiences as a mother to multiple children with my twins being diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in 2023. I struggled with getting the right help for my twins as well and everywhere we went had super long waiting lists for them to be seen. I said to myself, “There has to be a better way for my babies to get proper care”. I have come up from the trenches too and I am here to get your life back on track! My twins health issues led me to integrative and functional medicine, and it has showed me there is no one size fits all when it comes to mental health disorders and treatment, I was determined to find an approach that served each person as an individual.
I enjoy traveling with my children, doing service work in my community, and being a beacon of light to anyone I come into contact with. I feel we all are put on this earth for a purpose, and mine is to serve.
I am a PMHNP that believes in compassionate, collaborative, and individualized care. I am able to help my patients adequately because I too suffered from trauma and was diagnosed with PTSD after an abusive marriage. I have been able to repair my life thorough the same techniques and practices I will teach and help you with.
In 2008, I was diagnosed with ADHD and had to develop my own pathway of treatment. Through Holy Spirit, and other modalities I have been able to keep my mental health at its optimum and thrive, not just live. I enjoy supporting women, mothers, and the family unit as a whole. There is light at the end of the tunnel and I am here to help you navigate through that and find your happy place.
